Misael Ramos is a community advocate that works on affordable housing, anti-displacement, and transportation. He currently leads affordable housing efforts for The Blackland Community Development Corporation as board President and has also worked on anti-displacement initiatives. He’s very involved in his neighborhood and is the current VP of The Historic Rogers-Washington Holy Cross neighborhood. Misael assisted his neighborhood to create a Historically Designated District. He also worked with Preservation Austin by volunteering on the Equity-Based Historic Preservation Plan working committee and helped streamline the application process for historic designation to make the process easier for other neighborhoods. He currently supports the North Central I-35 Neighborhood Coalition by advocating against the expansion of I-35 and developing a better public transit system.

In his current full time role he manages a team of business analysts, partners with stakeholders to identify solutions to problems, and leads collaboration efforts with multiple teams to solve company wide problems at scale. Misael also organizes Community Engagement events for the Black Inclusion Group at Indeed. 

Not only does Misael have the drive to work with his community but he also has the skills needed to drive change and get things done!
